Laser Vision Correction

Laser vision correction involves using a laser to reshape or change the optics of the cornea in order to reduce the dependance on glasses. A consultation for laser vision correction requires a complete ocular examination to determine suitability for this restorative vision procedure. Patient education of techniques, including all laser “no blade” intalase lasik, as well as customized laser ablation using Visx Custom Vue wavefront technology, are comprehensively discussed.

Once the decision to undergo lasik is made, our patients consult with our surgical coordinator to choose a date that fits in with their schedule. All lasik is performed at the Somerset Eye Institute, which houses the latest equipment to preform both “no blade” lasik and custom ablation.
